The Weiß Kugel (Steve)

Posted on: May 21 2017

A very satisfying restoration and enhancement project. Our client Steve came to us with a 1984 BMW R100 that he wanted to restore and customise as an everyday ride. A very experienced rider, Steve wanted to keep the aesthetic of a vintage bike but improve the performance, safety and handling to suit both modern standards and his own riding style.

After a careful restoration of original chassis and wheels, modifications were made to the rear subframe, seat and top shock mounts. The bike was fitted with modern instruments, wiring, and upgraded suspension performance to make it an enjoyable ride.

An elegant finish was achieved with a bespoke paint job - designed by the client - on the tank , fresh paint on chassis and rims, and stainless spokes. The light coloured tank plus 1000cc's of performance tuned engine gave the bike it's nickname - the Weiss Kugel (white bullet).
